About Us
Welcome to Meadowview Chickens
We are based in Leicestershire, specialising in selling back garden chickens and everything you need for chicken keeping. Usually we have stock of Hybrids, Bantams and Pure Breeds. We are breeders of Rare / Pure breed poultry, with a growing number of breeds. We welcome both existing and new chicken keepers, and are happy to help you with any questions you may have. Our highly reviewed hen boarding service offers peace of mind when you go on holiday or even if you are moving house !
In our onsite shop, we stock a large range on poultry feed, bedding, hardware and goods. We also stock an extensive range of pet & wild bird supplies

Hen Boarding - Due to family circumstances we will not be operating hen boarding for 2025
We are closed between 24th December and 4th January
Shop Opening Hours
Monday 9:30am - 1pm
Friday 9:30am - 1pm
Saturday 9:30am - 1pm
Due to personal circumstances our winter hours will be limited this year

I'm sorry we cannot accept dogs on our premises except guide dogs / assistance dogs -Unfamiliar dogs can cause upset in our flocks which can cause further problems to our chickens health.

Great chicken stockist, plenty of different breeds of chickens available, the lady who helped us was very knowledgeable, honest and helpful. All the chickens looked very well cared for and in great health. The shop had a good range and stock of many things, such as woodchip, food, health supplies, feeders etc. We've been twice and we'll go back in the future too

The best place for miles around! I've had Legbars and Pekin Bantams from their stock and they are wonderful chickens, well looked after and kept in clean, roomy conditions. The large shop is extensively stocked with a selection of all you could need, available in a variety of pack sizes.
